ESG
All green.
Throughout the project, special attention has been paid to the environment and innovative, state-of-the-art measures have been implemented. For example, ecological building materials, climate-friendly heating systems without fossil fuels, geothermal energy using borehole heat exchangers and a geothermal heat pump ensure maximum sustainability. A photovoltaic system feeds the energy generated into the building’s main distribution system. In addition, Stock im Weg has the following sustainable elements:
- Wood-aluminium windows with insulation glazing
- Wood cladding
- LED lighting
- Ecologically oriented, intelligent building management system with smart control
- Surface cooling via ceilings
- Core activation → saves 2/3 of conventional energy demand
- Underfloor heating
- Preparation for e-charging stations in the garage
- Cool microclimate in the garden thanks to a well-designed landscaping concept
ÖGNI certification – an award for buildings with high ecological, economic, and socio-cultural added value for the environment, building owners and users – is in progress.

The Architecture
roh ARCHITECTS
„In place of a 1960s building, whose boomerang-shaped footprint has been perpetuated in the form of the building line, a residential building is being constructed that opens up to the south and offers views of the extensive garden and adjoining park.
The building is divided into two differentiated structures, cleverly staggered in height to create a dialogue with each other, skilfully playing with the different levels of the site while still providing barrier-free access to all floors.
The bays and dormers are accentuated using wooden elements, which alternate with light-coloured plaster and, in some cases, extensive greenery on the façade. Every available space has been planted with greenery, shrubs, climbing plants and numerous new tree plantings.
Deep drilling for geothermal energy and a photovoltaic system on the roof complete the holistic approach, responding intensively to current geopolitical and ecological developments“.
